Ultram side-effects

As with any prescription medications, Ultram has certain side effects that may occur during its use. Symptoms like dizziness, drowsiness, vomiting, nausea, feeling lightheaded or headache are the most common. Most of these symptoms usually wear off or decrease in intensity after some time of taking Ultram. However, if any of these symptoms are persistent and actually get worse you should immediately inform your healthcare provider.

Constipation may occur while using Ultram. In order to minimize the risk of its occurrence make sure to employ a diet rich with fiber, drink a lot of water and engage in physical activity on a regular basis. If this doesn't help, ask your pharmacist for a laxative medication.

It is recommended to get up slowly in order to minimize the risk of dizziness after taking Ultram.

Keep in mind that it's not necessarily that you'll experience side effects when taking Ultram. Most people using this drug never have any additional symptoms and only benefit from the drug's pain relief potential. There's only a small percentage of users who complain on having side-effects that are often caused by underlying medical conditions or complimentary drug use.

Contact your doctor immediately in case you experience any of the rare yet hazardous side effects of Ultram: mood swings, severe pain in the stomach, urination problems, fainting, seizures, breathing problems, and abnormal drowsiness.

In very rare cases Ultram was observed to cause a specific side effect known as serotonin syndrome. It is usually associated with specific drug use and overall predisposition. You should get immediate medical assistance in case you experience any of the following syndrome symptoms: loss of coordination, hallucinations, dizziness, hyperactivity, twitching muscles, and severe digestion problems.

Allergic reactions to Ultram are quite rare. Still, in case you experience the following symptoms you should seek immediate medical assistance: skin rash, itching, severe dizziness, and breathing problems.
